Bayonet Scabbards

We offer the typical bayonet scabbard used during the Civil War. Originals of our offerings were made in the US, not in foreign countries. Still, as scabbard wore out, we see images of soldiers carrying Enfields and other foreign made weapons with these scabbards on their hips.

Early War pattern - 2 rivet scabbard

$50.00 each

This scabbard is a copy of the early style of US scabbards. It's most defining feature is the fact it only has two rivets and stitching holding the frog to the scabbard. Since this was made early in the war, it is appropriate use throughout. Seven rivet scabbards were approved by the US Ordnance in February 1863 and came into service later.

Our bayonet scabbard is patterned directly off an original in our collection. See it side by side with our reproduction on our View Originals page.
