Welcome to an important part of our website. There are many companies that reproduce Civil War items. Many claim to pattern their goods off of original artifacts. Here, we'll show you some of the originals in our collection. Since Jim started the family business in 1985, we have been committed to inspecting originals to make our reproductions from. In many cases, we own the original we make reproductions of. Here is a look at our originals. In addition, we have placed one of our reproductions side by side with our original so you can compare them.

Original Carbine Cartridge Box

Our original carbine cartridge box photographed with one of our reproductions.

We have several original pistol boxes in our collection.

Our pattern was pulled from one specific example in our collection...

... and we even made sure the maker's stamp was put in the correct place.

Like the pistol boxes, we have several cap pouches in our collection.

We selected two specific examples to reproduce our standard and shield front pouches.

We have both an early war and late war scabbard in our original collection.

Our early war, two-rivet scabbard set next to the original we patterned our reproduction from.

Our orignal holster. Notice that the original was damaged by the tab which closes the holster closed broke off. The original owner punched a hole in the flap to attach to the finial. You can see the stitiching which held the tab originally. It is directly above the retrofitted hole.

To make our reproduction faithful to the way this holster was issued, we've added the flap back on. Our holster also features a maker's stamp on the back in the same position as the original.
