The Jefferson Brogan was the most commonly issued shoe in the Union army. Though it is most often thought of when considering the infantary, soldiers in all three branches were issued and wore them in large amounts. Our reproduction has XXXX soles and is built with the XXXX side of the leather out. We offer the brogan in sizes 7-16 in D, E, EE, and EEE widths.
Brogans often came with heel plates to protect the leather of the shoe. Heel plates can be added to your shoe while they are made for $6.00 per pair, installed.

This is a reproduction of a civillian shoe worn by Confederates. It is appropriate for CS, civillian and Union officer use. Our reproduction features the smooth side of the leather out for better appearance with a single buckle closure. Available in whole sizes 9-13 only. Heel plates can be added to your shoe while they are made for $6.00 per pair, installed.
Heel plates, along with proper care of the leather, are the best ways to lengthen the life of your reproduction footwear. They can be installed when your shoes are made or added to existing footwear.
