All the items on this page were carried by cavalry trooper. Some were used by officers. We've put them all here so you can find everything in one place. The only item you'll have to add to the belt is a cap pouch, found on another page of this site.

Our saber belt is copied from an original. It features the shoulder sling to give support which was prevelant amongst enlisted belts. This was one piece of gear that is appropriate for officers, espcially junior officers.

US regulations instructed that the holster be worn in the right side of the body with the butt pointed forward. This allowed a trooper to draw his pistol with the left hand when the right had the saber in it. Our reproduction has a leather plug sewn in the bottom of it.
Taken directly from an original in our collection, be sure to check out the original and our reproduction comparison in our View Originals page.
